Richard Anthony Gordon, 71, of Enfield, beloved husband for 51 years of Carol (Caruso) Gordon, passed away peacefully in Hartford on Friday (December 7, 2012) with his loving family by his side. Born on June 4, 1941 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Max A. and Lucy (Melluzzo) Gordon. A graduate of Bulkeley High School, Richard worked as a salesman in the printing industry for many years. He then became a driver for CT Transit and retired after 17 years of service. He proudly served with the U.S. Army National Guard. In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his two devoted daughters, Dana Gordon-Gannuscio and her husband James of Cromwell and Daryl Gordon and her husband Christopher Ceresky of Willington; two adored grandchildren, Alexander and Bennett Gannuscio; two sisters, Rosalie Yescott and her husband Charles of Farmington and Patricia Procaccini and her husband Michael of Newington as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Sebastian “Sam” Gordon. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial, with military honors, will be in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
